Abstarct: With the growth of cities and urbanization and the cultural changes that happened over time in societies, we are witnessing a stronger presence of women in social and economic fields. With the presence of more women, new issues and problems are raised in the field of urban spaces and women. One of the criteria for evaluating the quality of the environment of any city is the presence of public green space, a space where citizens can interact and talk with each other with sufficient safety and comfort, and urban designers want to create collective spaces with the aim of increasing the social interactions of citizens. One of the most important concerns is the existence of spaces with complete security in cities that do not create a sense of insecurity in citizens, especially women as a vulnerable group. This research examines the feeling of safety of women in the parks of Varamin city, and for this purpose, three parks of Shagaig, 15 Khordad and Family were selected according to the localities where they are located, the size and number of visits to the park. In this research, the physical and psychological components that affect women's sense of security in urban public spaces and strengthen women's desire to be present were collected and presented. To advance the research, theories related to social security and urban space have been used. In addition to library sources, field visits and interviews with several women were also used in the opinion of experts in this field. The obtained components were divided into two parts, physical factors and non-physical factors. In the next step, the indicators that can be effective in the sense of security of the female section of the society, and the physical components of the environment were collected with the help of documentary studies and the supervision of relevant experts. Then, using a survey method, questionnaires were answered by 400 women living in Varamin city, and by regression analysis, the contribution of each of the variables of the physical characteristics of the environment in predicting the level of women's sense of social security was determined. The research findings indicate the existence of a direct and meaningful relationship between urban space and women's sense of security. In comparison, the physical characteristics of the urban public space are very influential in women's sense of security, and this role is greater than its non-physical characteristics. Among these, the most effective component in women's sense of security in public spaces is the lack of crime in the environment with a beta of 0.679, and the components of readability and transparency as well as accessibility with a beta of 0.16 have the least impact.
