Abstarct: Students are the main users of the university spaces, it is better to have a healthy and harmonious environment with the needs of the conditions and psychological, the quality of the environment is appropriate considering that the open space of the university is responsible for the majority of users outside of formal education hours. to have an active presence in diverse groups, collective and combined work. Satisfied with the space becomes the basis for students to be present in the space and social conditions. The research started with these two main questions: a) What are the criteria and indicators of university open spaces with social characteristics? b) What are the criteria of a suitable open space from the point of view of students in the university campus (Shahrood University of Technology)? In this study, a mixed research method was used. First, a questionnaire was developed for experts and users, and after the validity assessment, the data from the questionnaire was analyzed and the variables were prioritized using the AHP method of the fuzzy type plus Topsis, and the findings showed that: Because the university open spaces are an important part of the university space and most of the students' time is spent in these spaces during non-class hours, the students were not satisfied with most of the criteria of the open space, which resulted in a decrease in satisfaction, attendance and interactions and non-performance.
