Abstarct: The two major crises energy and the environmental consequences are undoubtedly one of the most important issues facing contemporary people and threatens the future of mankind. All these issues lead us to reduce these destructive effects. So, "sustainable architecture" created a massive evolution in the building sector by replacing the use of clean and renewable energies and reducing energy consumption. To realize sustainable building, public strategies were conducted through studying their resources and classifying them. These strategies are divided into seven groups: improving the efficiency of building spacecraft, improving the lighting performance of the building, improving the efficiency of mechanical systems and managing the energy load of electrical equipment, the active and passive solar design and the use of renewable energy to provide energy for building and reduce Energy consumption. The present study seeks to find ways to achieve sustainable strategies by studying and Analysis successful examples of the world. To this end, five successful examples in the world and one sample in Iran were selected and their strategies were investigated in four categories: energy conservation solutions, inactive solar solutions, active solar design and energy efficiency systems. The findings suggest that "inactive solar solutions" have the greatest impact on design for sustainable construction. Most innovations are evident in these sectors and solutions are more developed in this area. The subject of this research project is "the design of the New Energy Institute of Mashhad with a Sustainable Architecture Approach". In addition to providing research, testing and research space on renewable energy, the research center provides its energy from renewable energy and follows the principles of sustainable design. According to the country's scientific master plan, "new and renewable energies" are in the top priority of science and technology of the country; therefore, the present research seeks to provide all the potential for interdisciplinary research to create new knowledge and technology for new energies, and as a scientific and educational institution on renewable energy, to achieve scientific and professional interaction with other relevant institutions. Balancing between production and energy consumption and achieving sustainable buildings is the ultimate goal of this research; however, different strategies can be adopted to achieve this goal. In the design of this research, solar energy and wind energy will be used as the main sources of renewable energies. The main areas of the complex are the research offices, specialized laboratories and clean rooms, multimedia laboratories, workshops, meeting rooms, researchers' welfare spaces, community halls, specially designed facilities and equipment. The project site is located on the edge of the Honarestan Boulevard, which is located in the Mashhad land use map to the educational area and is located near the research centers of Mashhad. Hence, in designing this research complex, special attention will be paid to the interaction of the project with other research centers.
