Abstarct: Abstract
Stock market is considered as one of the most importantareas of investment in any country. Due to uncertainty and large number of companies in financial market, it has become difficult to choose the right stock to investments. In recent years, investors in the financial markets around the globe have begun to focus on methods to identify top stocks in their portfolio Forming process. Identifying and rating stocks using financial criteria help investors to better understand the risks involved in shares selecting and better manage their own capital, thereby rapidly and accurately choose their shares and make more secure profit. The main concern that capital market investors are facing difficulty to choosing the right stock despite the uncertainties in the market. The financial ratios analysis and ranking of shares (companies) are highly important to Form portfolio in the stock market. The purpose of this thesis is to present an approach for reduce the uncertainties in the market and finally shares (companies) rating baxsed on financial criteria. Aiming to present a new approach, the study using 4 criteria for rank the 11 shares (companies) to form portfolio. The proposed fuzzy approach is baxsed on the analytical hierarchy (AHP) and the m-Polar Fuzzy PROMETHEE technique. The Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment of Evaluations (PROMETHEE) is an outranking family of multi-criteria decision-making techniques for evaluating a finite set of alternatives, that relies on multiple and inconsistent criteria. This thesis presents a version of the PROMETHEE technique that encompasses multipolar assessments of the performance of each alternative (relative to the relevant criteria). In this regard to form portfolio, yearly data has been collected 11 shares (companies) from 6 industries. In the present study, the AHP method was used in determining the weightage of criteria by financial expert and the m-Polar Fuzzy PROMETHEE technique was used in determining the ranking of the shares (companies). In this research, only the usual criterion preference function is used. The empirical results assist the investor and traders in selecting among the best stock.
