Abstract
Electric energy, considering the important role it has in the economy of any society. Therefore, it becomes important to try to improve the efficiency and prevent the waste of this energy. Energy itself consists of three sectors: production, transmission and distribution, which is the bridge between producer and consumer. In order to evaluate the network, it takes into account the effective factors that affect the efficiency of a network. The meaning of network evaluation; The level of efficiency or productivity of the electricity distribution network is how much output it produces according to the available inputs. Therefore, considering the importance of electricity distribution network efficiency, the aim of this research was to evaluate the technical and revenue efficiency of electricity distribution networks in Iran with the data coverage analysis approach during the years 2010-2017. For this purpose, the inputs of the number of personnel and the capacity of the transformer and the output of the amount of electricity sales in the electricity distribution companies of the provinces of the country were used. The results of the research showed that the electricity distribution companies of Khuzestan, Yazd, North Khorasan, South Khorasan, Qazvin, Semnan, Bushehr, Zanjan and Chaharmahal Bakhtiari provinces had the highest average technical efficiency in variable efficiency mode relative to scale. Also, the electricity distribution companies of Hamadan, Ilam, Marzari, Gilan, Golestan and Mazandaran provinces have the lowest average technical efficiency. The findings of the research showed that most of the electricity distribution companies in different provinces are facing the problem of inefficiency and the technical efficiency calculated for them was less than one.
