Abstarct: The study of migration, especially the identification of factors affecting migration, is very importance. One way to assess immigration motivation is to assess the level of well-being. In fact, both welfare and migration affect welfare. Considering the importance of both migration and welfare variables, this study has used the census data of 2006, 2011 and 2016 obtained from the website of the Statistics Center of Iran to examine the causes and consequences of migration in the provinces of Iran in terms of mediating the role of household welfare. . For this purpose, panel data and integrated regression methods and random effects were used. According to the results of LM test, the final interpretation was performed by random effects method. The results showed the effect of migration, household size and population aging on welfare. On the other hand, the results showed that the variables of household welfare, agricultural value added and GDP have an impact on migration.
