Abstarct: Given that Covid-19 disease is currently affecting many aspects of human life, studies related to this disease are new in various fields and at the same time necessary. For this reason, the present study also examined the situation of the sports tourism industry during the Covid-19 epidemic, which may have been affected by this disease. Therefore, the aim of the present study was to identify the implications of Covid-19 on the sports tourism industry and to provide professional solutions. The research paradigm is interpretive, its nature is exploratory, the approach to research is inductive, the research method is qualitative, the field of data collection is field and library, the research strategy is thematic analysis and the data collection tool was two methods of targeted library study and in-depth semi-structured interviews. The statistical population of the study consisted of two sections: informed human resources and information resources related to the research topic. Sampling was done baxsed on achieving theoretical saturation and purposeful method (8 people and 17 articles). To ensure reliability, transferability and verification, all necessary steps and steps for a qualitative research through content analysis strategy were considered. Holsti’ PAO method was used to measure reliability, which was approved. Thematic analysis method was used to analyze the data. baxsed on the analysis of qualitative data, 67 codes, 13 sub-themes and 3 main themes (1- recession of sports tourism market, 2- change of sports tourism pattern and 3- environmental improvement) in relation to the consequences of Covid-19 on sports tourism Also, 52 codes, 7 sub-themes and 2 main themes (1- Crisis management and 2- Innovative design in accordance with the new order) were identified in relation to effective strategies to deal with the effects of Covid-19 on sports tourism in Iran. baxsed on the findings, it can be stated that the weak sport tourism industry in Iran has suffered a lot with the outbreak of Covid-19 disease; But Covid-19 should not be an excuse to weaken it any further. Programs should be developed and followed in an expert and responsible manner so that we can witness the prosperity of sports tourism in our beloved country of Iran.
