Abstarct: The purpose of this research is identify the Assessment the role of social support and coping skills with the sports commitment of the U-23 football plaxyers of Tehran. Study population are 3590 plaxyers of Omid football teams in Tehran, that 288 people were selected baxsed on available sampling method to distribute the questionnaire. Data collection method is field, and data collection tool in this research is standard questionnaire. Wax et al., (1986) questionnaire was used to measure the social support variable, Smith et al., (1995) questionnaire was used to measure the coping skills variable, and Scanlan (1993) questionnaire was used to measure the sports commitment variable. The reliability of the questionnaire was confirmed by Cronbach's alpha and its validity was confirmed by face and content validity, and confirmatory factor analysis. The Structural equation test was used to test hypothesis of the research by Amos 22 software. The findings of the research indicate confirmation of the hypothesis. In this sense, Social support affects the coping skills of the plaxyers of Omid football teams in Tehran. Social support affects the sports commitment of the plaxyers of Omid football teams in Tehran. Coping skills affect the sports commitment of the plaxyers of Omid football teams in Tehran. Coping skills play a mediating role in the relationship between social support and sports commitment of the plaxyers of Omid football teams in Tehran.
