GV146 : Identifying and Prioritizing the Factors Affecting the Development of Women's Championship Sports Fars Province

Abstarct: The purpose of this study was to investigate, identify and prioritize the factors affecting the development of female championship sport in Fars province. The method of this research is a combination of qualitative and quantitative. The statistical population of the study consisted of managements, deputies of the Sports and Youth Department of Fars province and champions athletes in the province. In the qualitative section, in order to identify factors and construct a questionnaire, a background study and interview with 14 managers and deputies of sport boards and athletes invited to the national team that were selected as targeted snowball were used. From the analysis of the content of the interviews and history, extracted a five categories of factors including socio-cultural, financial-infrastructure, technical-sports, human resources and structural-managerial. Multi-criteria decision-making methods were used to prioritize of factors. A questionnaire was distributed among 30 people who were involved with the championship sport. The results of the quantitative section shows that five factors: Social, family and management support of elite athletes and coaches - facilities, equipment, and sports spaces and standard practice required for female champions in the fars province – excellence, elitism and selection of members as successive steps in the formation of selected teams - The presence of teachers, sports Professors, plaxyers instructor and designer and establishment of a comprehensive system of women's championship and sporting activities, according to the sport vision is the higher priority than other factors.
