Abstarct: Target: This research is aiming to compare the effect of 8-week different exercises (aerobic, resistance, compound) on serum levels of Nesfatin-1 and insulin resistance in women with type II diabetes. Method: This research used the clinical exercise test and included pretest and posttest. Statistic samples of this research were women with type II diabetes of average 51.6±7.1 years old, and body mass index average of 29,4±82,35 which were divided at random in 4 groups with 15 members including: 1-aerobic exercise 2-resistance exercise 3-copound exercise and 4- without exercise groups. Blood samples were taken before and 48 hours after ending of exercise periods in fasting situation. Group1 achieved aerobic exercise by running on treadmill with 60 to 75 percent of heart rate reserve; they run 30 minutes with 60percent of heart rate reserve for four first weeks, in 3days a week, in second 4 weeks they run 45minutes with 75percent of heart rate reserve 3 days a week. Group 2 performed resistance exercise with 60 percent of 1repeat maximum including warm up (10minute of slow running, stretching and dynamic moves), resistance exercises with bodybuilding instruments (40 minutes) and cool down (10 minute of stretching and flexibility moves). Group3 done compound exercises in 180-190 minutes per week including 30 minutes of aerobic exercise by running on treadmill, 30-40 minutes of resistance exercises with 60 percent of 1RM. Depended T test was used to assume inter group difference, Anova test was used to assume between group differences and post hoc Bonferroni test was used to detect the groups that made difference in Anova test. P<0/05 implied the significance level. Discoveries: inter group comparisons showed that serum levels of Nesfatin-1 in groups2 (P=0/022) and group3(P=0/009) had a significant increase after intervention, fasting serum levels of glucose in groups 1(P=0/044) and group 3 (P=0/043),insulin serum level in group 3 (P=0/007), insulin resistance index in group 3 (P=0/009), TG serum level in groups 1 (P=0/007) and group 2 (P=0/006), LDL serum level in groups 2(P=0/016) and group 3 (P=0/01), cholesterol serum level in group 1(P=0/039), group 2 (P=0/042) and group 3 (P=0/021) had significance decrease after intervention and HDL serum level in groups 1(P=0/006) and group3 (P=0/005) had significant increase. In addition, body fat percent decrease in inter group comparison after intervention in group3 (P=0/001) and BMI decrease in-group 3 (P=0/047) were significant. In between group test a significant decrease in serum levels of fasting glucose, insulin, insulin resistance, TG, LDL, and cholesterol were observed. In addition, serum level of HDL significantly increased. Result: regarding this research’s findings, it seems that compound exercises are more suitable induces to increase the serum level of Nesfatin-1 and risk factors decrease in women with type II diabetes.
