QD247 : Synthesis of new polyurethanes baxsed on 2,3-Dihidro-1,4-Phthalazinedione

Abstarct: To synthesis of 2-(2-hydroxy ethyle)-2,3-dihydro-1,4-phthalazinedione and 2,3-bis(2-hydroxyethyle)-2,3-dihydro-1,4-phthalazinedione,2-boromo ethanol was reacted with phthalhydrazide in DMAc as solvent and in the presence of triethylamine in mole ratio 1.5:1 and 3:1 respectively. The structure of the monomers was determined by IR and 1H-NMR spectra. New polyurethanes and polyurethane-ureas were synthesized by reaction of the monomers with various diisocyanates such as, tolylene diisocyanate, isophorane diisocyanate and hexamethylene diisocyanate. The mesured viscosity for these polymers are in the range 0.45-0.6 dlg-1. The structure of the polymers was proved by IR, 1HNMR spectra and CHN analysis. The TGA & DTG results confirmed high thermal stability for synthesized polymers.
