Biography (About):
Dr. Ahmad Vaezian is an Assistant Professor at Shahrood University of Technology, where he has been a faculty member since September 2016. He obtained his Ph.D. in Mining Exploration Engineering from Shahrood University of Technology in February 2014. His Ph.D. thesis focused on the evaluation of hydrocarbon source rocks using neuro-fuzzy by integrating well log, geochemical, and seismic data. Prior to his Ph.D., he completed his M.Sc. in Mining Exploration Engineering at the University of Tehran in February 2001. He also holds a B.Sc. in Mining Exploration Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, which he earned in February 1992. His current research interests include mineral exploration, oil exploration, mineral geochemistry, organic geochemistry, and petroleum geology. He has been actively involved in various professional organizations. He has served as the Executive Secretary of the Conference on Iranian Gemstones Deposits (February 5, 2020) and the Executive Secretary of the Conference on Iranian Pb-Zn Deposits and Their by-Products (July 7, 2022). Additionally, he is a permanent member of the Iran Mining Engineering Association and a member of the Mining Engineering Organization of Semnan Province. He also collaborated with the Geological Survey and Mineral Exploration of Iran on geochemical projects, including the design of projects in Kurdistan province from 1999 to 2001 and the design of projects in Bam city in 2000.
