Abstarct: In this project, stope and crown pillars in Roomarmar lead and zinc mine have been analysed, globally. In the global analysis, all pillars and stopes located in each mine field were considered as a integrated components. baxsed on global analysis, in the first step, some senario related various geometeries of the mine levels have been generated. Then, geomechanical properties of the rock mass were assigned to the contry rock sorounded each levels. Fainally, emprical and numerical analysis were implemented on the each senarios. Generally speeking, emprical analysis showes pillars that they were located between gate ways can be more efficient than pillars that they were remained parallel to gate ways. More over, numerical analysis indicates the effect of stope extention in strike direction of vien on the instability of stopes is more than stope extention in dip direction of vein. Comparisson between numerical and emprical analysis says that numerical results are more conservative than emprical analysis.
