Abstarct: Remote Sensing is a science baxsed on the advances made by the new satellite technologies which allows us to study the vast area at shortest time and with the lowest cost, with a relatively high accuracy. Bauxite ore is commonly used to produce alumina , which is the primary source of aluminum production. In Iran, the most important Bauxite deposit is located in Jajarm district, southwest of Bojnourd. In the present dissertation, which includes a sheet of one hundred thousand Semnan, Jam, Kiyasar, Pol sefid, Damghan, Mabad, Gorgan, Ali Abad, Shahrood, Bastam, Ramain, Gonbad Kavous, Dozin, Rey Abad, Meyami, Robat-e-Ghareh Bil, Jajarm, Sankhast, Forumad, remote sensing has been done for other occasions, But the purpose of this research is to hdentify areas of the area with potential bauxite minerals. Considering the presence of bauxite mines in the region between the Elika Formations as the lower back of the mineral and Shemshak Formation as the waist of the mineral, the formations were identified. The bauxite mine of Jajarm was used as the basis. To archieve this goal , using various methods, preparation and pre-processing were performed on area data. Also, for processing data using methods such as Band Ratio, Color Composite Image, Ls-fit, Principal Component analysis methods and … , identification of appropriate formation and bedrock of bauxite and related alterations in the region were investigated. Finally, the Spectral Angle Mapping classification method(sam) was used ti identify of mineral potential locations. In this research, Envi and GIS software were used for pre-procesing and processing satellite images from Landsat satellite and ETM+ sensors.
