Abstarct: Because of high overburden and prescense of weak rockmasses in way of Alborz tunnelling, there will be risk of squeezing phenomenon. In this study by using emperical, semi-emperical and analytical methods squeezing potential of rock masses of Alborz tunnel have been investigated. Results are classified to form of loss, low, medium, heavy and very high squeeze. Area of the tunnel that most methods have been recognize squeeze, chosen for numerical modeling. Since rockmass squeezing has time dependent behavior, so according to the software's ability FLAC to numerical modeling and analysis of this phenomenon, the software is used. Viscoplastic Burger-Creep model (CVISC) has capability to modeling squeezing phenomenon. Area 3434-3500 is the area that most of these methods can detect it squeezing potential. The size of a standard sample is prepared from this area. Under uniaxial creep testing, creep parameters of rock achived. The numerical modeling of rock samples, testing up to 10% relative error percentage is calculated. Using the results of testing, the cross section of the tunnel will be modeled. Since rockmass squeezing is a time dependent behavior, stability of the final lining for long-time will be assessed. As a result of this assessment, at worst case, stress of thrust-bending moment cause instability in the twentieth year of life of final lining. Due to the low tensile strength of concrete lining, this instability is created.
