Abstarct: In Khezrabad area, located about 40 kilometeres west of Yazd City, the presence of various copper and iron mineralization potentials causes that geological, geophysical and geochemical investigations have been carried out in different parts of the area, particularly in southern parts of the area. The most important copper deposit in this area is Aliabad and Darreh¬Zereshk copper deposits. Despite the proven economic potential of copper deposits in southern parts of the area, the other parts including the northern parts of the area are still under consideration and serious studies. In the exploration operations made in the area, geoelectrical resistivity and induced polarization (IP) methods have been used. For this, at first in the prospecting step, three lines have been surveyed using rectangular arrangement in an area surface of over 380,000 square meters to identify promising mineralization zones. Then, to investigate these zones more accurately and determine the size and depth of probable reserve, 5 lines have been mapped using dipole - dipole array with different lengths. In the next step, the collected data have been processed and modeled using Res2dinv and Zondres2d software packages. The obtained interpretation results and comparison of the obtained models with the outcrops in the area have indicated that the probable mineralization has been occurred in an alteration area with northeast - southwest trend. This mineralization has been occurred in the vein form and to a lesser amount as porphyric form so that areas with vein mineralization have less resistivity and high chargeability values. Finally, to assess the amount of reservae and essay and the type of copper mineralization, some drilling points have been proposed.
