Abstarct: Present study aims to stability and permeability analysis of Iranian natural cave for fesibility study of underground crude oil storage. It is quite clear that utilizing the natural cave as a storage reservoir can result in decreasing of associated cost of excaveiting a cavern in the rocks. To achieve this purpose it is essential to prepare a list of know caves and select the appropriate cave regarding the criteria considered. At the end, baxsed on the ccriteria mentionid, suitabel cave was selected for oil storage. After determination of the proper optins, stability analysis was carried out using numerical modeling. In this regard, static analysis has been done firstly and then posible side effects of injectinuction of crude oil in the cave have been evaluated in diverse conditions. Finally, after descxription of different types of storage in rock caves, the best option to store the oil has been introduced and various approaches to control the permeability have been offered
