Abstarct: Abstract One of the most important industries in the country is the steel industry, which is the most important coke consumer in this industry. One of the important parts for the production of coke is the appropriate quality coal, Which the ash percentage should be low according to the standards. The quality of coke plays a decisive role in the quality of steel production in the blast furnace. Coke reactivity index (CRI) and coke strength after reaction (CSR), which are measured according to international standards, determine the quality of coke. suitable Coke for blast furnace usage has low CRI and high CSR. In this research, an attempt was made to increase the recovery percentage of the flotation unit and reduce its ash percentage with the conditions of Alborz East Coal Washing Plant. Three stages of flotation test were designed. The amounts of gasoil as a collector and MIBC as a frother were set and the best result obtained in the solid percentage of 10 and the particle size of -50+500 microns, which improved the ash percentage from 14.64% to 5.93% and increased the recovery rate from 49. 61% to 74.6%. This result did not improve the CSR index well, Thus the dilute acid leaching test on the concentrate obtained from flotation was designed by Design Expert software. In the optimal mode of the software, under hydrochloric acid leaching with a concentration of 2.26% at a temperature of 80ºC for 360 minutes, improved the percentage of ash from 7.73% to 4.12% and the CSR index to 62.51%.
