Abstarct: In general, drilling and blasting in mines are part of the four main mining operations, which are one of the most important and sensitive activities in open-pit mines, so that it affects other operations directly and indirectly. The main purpose of blasting operations in open pit mines is to crush rock and obtain the dimensions of crushed rock, which ultimately leads to the optimization of the overall mining costs. In order to obtain the desired crushing, a precise relationship between the pattern of fire and crushing should be considered, which can be obtained by examining common patterns and granulation resulting from explosions in mines. One of the goals of this research is to investigate the distribution efficiency of crushing granulation using image analysis and to achieve the optimal granulation in Chahel Kure copper mine. In order to achieve this goal, photographs were taken of the mass of crushed rock resulting from 6 explosions that were carried out with a common mine pattern, and using Split Desktop image analysis software, the fragmentation distribution was obtained according to the results obtained and actual observations after the explosion. According to the entrance opening of the crusher, the amount of rubble was estimated to be about 30-40%. Then, according to the investigation and analysis of the explosions, 4 models were presented and implemented to achieve the optimal crushing in the mine. Finally, the results of the four selected patterns were examined and compared with the previous explosions and evaluated. With the investigations, it was found that experimental explosion Number 3 has a better performance than the others and it was chosen as the ideal suggestion model.
