Abstarct: Since the beginning of human activity in the field of mining, access to the most minerals with the lowest cost or the highest profit in the shortest possible time has been a priority. To achieve such a thing, the need to production planning in mines is felt. From the past until now, various methods have been proposed to optimize mines production planning, each of which has advantages and disadvantages. Factors such as geological conditions, the geometric shape of the deposit, technical and economic factors, the nature of the application of the presented methods, the possibility of developing the methods, etc. are among the factors and limitations that can become problematic for the methods. The main goal of this research is optimize the production planning of the underground part of Angoran lead and zinc mine by using the imperialist competition mexta-heuristic algorithm. In order to optimization, the block model of the underground part of the deposit is designed in Datamine RM software first, and then, an economic block model is made by this model. The input of the optimization algorithm is this model. This algorithm, use the competition between colonies and imperialists for optimization. After determining the initial parameters of the algorithm, the imperialist competition between these colonies and imperialists begins. Finally, the obtained answer is the optimal answer of the problem, which gives the maximum NPV and the order of extracting blocks as output. This algorithm was run in different conditions that the answers obtained from multiple executions sometimes produce different answers in production planning, but they are very close to each other.
