TN1044 : Calibration of the image analysis system of Sarcheshmeh processing plant to determine the ore size in order to control the appropriate grinding mills feed

Abstarct: Due to the fact that the feed stockpile of Sarcheshmeh Copper Complex semi autogenous mills is built in a sloping manner, the grain size of the related feeders is different. Also, the difference in grain size causes fluctuations in mill performance. In this project, first, by manual sampling, accurate particle size analysis was obtained and by comparing them with the data of the image analysis system, correction values were determined to adjust the system. Then, by changing the speed of the feeders, the effect of different loads entering mill on its performance was measured and evaluated. Finally, the best operating conditions for the operation of the grinding circuit were proposed with the help of the image analysis system and granulation of mill output materials. In general, in this research, the software output data was considered to be used as a method to control the motor speed of the feeders under the stockpile, taking into account the electrical standards and precision instruments of the factory, in order to control the grain size of the entrance feed and fluctuate the variety of feed entering mill. This project was carried out by granulating and adjusting the feed of the entrance strip to the semi autogenous mill of phase 1 of Sarcheshmeh copper complex. The results showed that the increasing of speed, input and output pressure, increase the power draw and energy and the sound of mill decreases. Considering that the output product of mill should be less than 2.1 mm, it was shown that the value of 1.6 mm was obtained for the optimal state. Finally, the optimal feeder speed index was introduced, according to which most of the mill parameters were normalized and the recycled load reached the minimum value, ie 80 tons per hour.
