TK890 : Design, Simulation and Lab Prototype of a Single Phase Step up Inverter baxsed on Switched Capacitor Converter

Abstarct: In this thesis, the usage of the switched capacitor inverters in power electronics applications has been presented. In addition, the both advantages and disadvantages of these converters have been investigated. One of the disadvantages of these converters is the lack of output voltage adjustment as well as having an inrush current at the input. That is why the implementation of the current source like an inductor with a voltage source at the input of the converter has been proposed. The main advantages of this method are increasing efficiency as well as reducing the amplitude of inrush current. Meanwhile, both efficiency and power loss relation has been optimized for achieving high efficiency as well as maximum output power. The H-bridge has been implemented to produce AC voltage. Finally, the experimental results verified the simulation results.
