Abstarct: In this thesis, a new structure for hysteresis-reluctance synchronous (HRS) motor is introduced. Hysteresis and reluctance motors have specially features so, it seems that these tow motors are complement of each other. Thus, their combination yields a motor with an excellent performance. The main purposes to present this structure is preserve the major advantage of the both motors in the new moto, a disc type slotless structure is chosen. In this report present a new analytical method for modelling of HR motor. In the analytical modelling method, a new iterative algorithm is proposed. This algorithm consists of one iteration loop for each input current to find the maximum flux density of the operational hysteresis loop of the motor. Furthermore, this study presents a new design algorithm that allows user to determine the present of combination of the hysteresis and Reluctance motors in the new hybrid motor. Finally the experimental results are presented.
