Abstarct: Reducing electric losses is very important in better use of resources, avoiding additional investment, reducing pollution and environmental impacts. Paying attention to reducing losses in the distribution sector as the most important source of electrical losses can have the greatest impact on the power losses. Duo to large expansion, reducing losses, even slightly, at the voltage level of ۴۰۰ volts will result in significant impact on total electrical losses of the grid. Load unbalance is one of the common problems in distribution networks. The origin of load unbalance is the non-uniform distribution of single-phase consumers among feeder phases and the other is the random consuming behavior of single-phase consumers. Unbalancing of distribution network has several consequences such as increasing losses, heating the three-phase equipment, voltage drop, unbalanced three-phase voltage, flowing current in neutral wire and low power quality. In this thesis, four load-sorting strategies are considered for balancing of distribution feeders. These strategies include: Balanced Distribution baxsed on the number of consumers, the consumers' counter capacity, the average peak-load and the consumers' energy consumption. By proposing an algorithm for a residential distribution feeder, the energy losses in each strategy are compared. For realistic results, the random behavior of single-phase consumers is simulated using the Monte Carlo technique.
