Abstarct: Abstract : A Numerical thermohydrodynamic (THD) analysis of journal bearing under laminar and steady condition is presented. Numerical solution which is used in this document is baxsed on Compact Finite Difference Scheme . Using this scheme whit applying periodic condition Reynolds equation is solved to obtained pressure distribution that appears in oil film along the journal bearing . According to continuity equation velocity filed of lubricant is obtained. To obtained temperature distribution , energy equation is solved. To study the effect of different parameters , solution are obtained for different values of eccentricity and different values for rotational velocity. To validate the computational result, comparison with exact solution is made.
