Abstarct: Given that some important construction projects on clay soils, the need for improvement to make them suitable for project implementation is important. In recent years, nanotechnology is widely used and at high speed in all contexts and because of novelty and lack of complete reference in geotechnical engineering and research needs to be recognized scattered and inadequate, the application and the effect of particles in the field respectively. This article examines the different percentages of nano-silica and lime on clay shear strength parameters by direct shear tests conducted. To this end, identified soil tests, direct shear tests on soil and lime nano with different percentages do and then the results obtained from the tests and the parameters evaluated. The results show improved shear strength parameters is modified with From 1% to 3% nano-silica and lime.
