Abstarct: In order to provide part of the edible oil and the required meal and also the stability of cereal production, it seems necessary to determine the suitable cultivars of rapeseed who have high production capacity in water deficit conditions. In this regard, a field experiment was conducted as factorial split-plot baxsed on Randomized Complete Block Design (CRBD) with three replications in Seed and Plant Improvement Research Institute of Karaj in 2014-2016. Experimental treatments were included planting date (20th of October (normal cultivation) and 5th of November (delayed cultivation), Irrigation (normal irrigation (full irrigation) and drought stress (irrigation withholding from silique formation) and canola hybrids and cultivar (Neptune, Elvise, Okapi, Tassilo, GKH0224, GKH2624 and GKH3705). Results showed that the drought stress and delaying the planting date caused to decrease the plant height, branches number per plant, pod number per plant, Pod length, grain number per pod, 1000-grain weight, grain yield, oil content, oil yield, relative water content, palmitic acid, linoleic acid, chlorophyll a, b and total, carotenoid, flavonoid and anthocyanin, whereas stomatal resistance, canopy temperature, arachidonic acid, eicosnoic acid, linolenic acid, behnic acid, erosic acid, proline, glucosinolate, carbohydrate, superoxide dismutase, ascorbate peroxidase and glutathione reductase were increased. The highest grain and oil yield were obtained from full irrigation and normal cultivation (5354 and 2443 kg ha-1). And the lowest yields of grain and oil were observed in irrigation withholding in pod formation stage and delayed cultivation. The highest content of proline was observed in normal cultivation and GKH3705 cultivar (21.59 mg.g. Fresh weight). The cultivar of GKH3705 was the most appropriate in terms of yield and its components, oil percentage, oil yield, relative water content, proline, chlorophyll a, b and total.According to the results, it seems that normal cultivation and GKH3705 cultivar under without stress and drought stress can be recommended as the best treatment for the benefit of rapeseed production in the Karaj region.
