Abstarct: Alstroemeria flower is one of the most common cut flower in world. The main limitation in postharvest management of cut flower are premature aging and decreasing the life vase of flowers resulted from ethylene production and vascular blockage cut alstroemeria flower are sensitive to ethylene which depends to kind of cultivar. Using anti-bacterial agents in the vase preserving solutions cause extending vase life and maintaining display quality of cut flowers by reduction of the bacterial populations in vase solution. Varios copounds are used in vase solution.the combination of essentials salvia leriifolia to antimicrobials produced was tested for the first time on cut flower alstromeria tampa .first to determine the concentration of oil in concentrations of 0 ,5,10, 20, 40 mg per liter of choice in completely randomized design whith five repli cates were investigated.the results showed concentration of 10 mg showed on significant difference compared to control impact in saving weight and most recently, anthocyanins ,chlorophyll has been keeping vase life.Then, in separate experiments using the same treatments 1 methylcyclopropane in concentrations of 0.5 ,1 ml per liter vasans salvia leriifolia concentration of 10 mg per liter in completely randomized design with three replications was conducted on alstroemeria flower.The result indicated that 1-methylcyclopropane at concentration of 0.5 ml per liter statistically signi ficant difference between the control and counter balance the effect of better water retention, increase the absorption of chlorophyll is mhlv, and consumption and concurrent use of two treatments is to strengthen the effect of treatments and ultimately increase the shelf life of cut flowers have been useful.
