Abstarct: Echeveria flower are mostly known as pot flower, however today are also used as a cut flower in a decorative of flower basket, cermonial car and cake, etc. In this study, the effect of thymus essential oil at two concentrations, 50 and 100 mg/l, sucrose in two concentration, 2 and 3%, and different composition of thymus and sucrose and distilled water as control was investigated in the factorial experiment baxsed on a completely randomized design with three replications for 80 days at 25 ± 4 °C. The results of the experiments showed that the highest leaf relative water content (RWC) and rigidity, minimum apparent wilting, TSS and EC for 50 mg/l thymus essential oil + sucrose 2% and 50 mg/l thymus essential oil were significant at 1% and 5%, respectively. The highest chromium index and the lowest changes in total color and carotenoid pigments and the lowest levels of chlorophyll a and total degradation were observed in treatment of 50 mg/l of thymus essential oil. The lowest amount of soluble sugar, enzymatic activity of pectin methyl esterase and bacterial count were observed in treatment of 50 mg/l of thymus + sucrose 2%. The results of the experiment showed that the treatments of 50 mg/l thymus essential oil + sucrose 2% and 50 mg/l thymus essential oil were more suitable for maintaining the quality of Echeveria as a cut flowers.
