Abstarct: Grapes are one of the most important agricultural products worldwide. In Iran, after citrus and apples, it is the third product from production and export point of view. Containing high amounts of energy sources, proteins and vitamins, it is regarded as a strategic agricultural product in the world which has various uses baxsed on food culture and community needs of different nations. In between, grapevine moth, eriophyes, mealy bug, thrips, aphids and cicada are amongst the important pests of grapes. What is more, grapevine moth(Lobesia botrana) is the most important pest of grapes which annually cause the grapes production to decrease in Iran and other parts of the world. It has 3 to 4 generations in a year. Its larva may impose severe damage to grapes and also causes the release of fungus causing rot on grapes cubes. Efforts have been done widely to control the pest using different chemicals. In the present study, effects of some chemical pesticides on controlling the rate of damage of the pest in red Fakhri of Shahrood were assessed. The experiment was carried out in grapes garden (an area of 1700m2) in Roodian as a completely randomized, multi-observational design with four replications and seven treatments in 95 years and 96. The number of infected cubes and contaminated bunches was considered as the criterion of the effectiveness of tested insecticides. For each year of the experiment, peak rates of pest flight were recorded using pheromone traps. Then spraying against 2nd, 3rd and 4th generations of the pest was carried out. After spraying, number of infected cubes and bunches were counted twice and recorded. Results indicated that there were significant differences between different treatments for both years. So that concentration of 1000ppm of cypermethrin and imunit decreased cubes and bunches infection to the pest to its least amounts comparing to the control. In addition, spraying rates were effectively affected cubes and bunches infection. So that 5th time of spraying in each year of investigation showed the highest infection rate while the first spraying time had the least rate of cubes and bunches infection. Hereby, it is concluded that application of imunitand cypermethrin can efficiently and effectively control damage of Denis (Lobesia botrana). On the other hand, in our experiment application of kaolin and teodicarb could not control the rate of damage considerably.
