Abstarct: The study area is located in the north of Quchan and in the eastern koppe-dagh state. Stratigraphic studies in this area confirm the presence of Shurije and Cretaceous rock units. Major tectonic structures such as faults and folds are in this range. The main faults of this region are right lateral strike slip and are right lateral strike slip with reverse component, and have a general northwest-southeast trend. Field surveys were carried out at separate stations on the east Zoobaran anticline and west Zoobaran anticline. The two eastern and western parts are separated by the Quchan-Zoobaran fault. baxsed on the geometry obtained for each anticline, it was found that the axial surface at the East Zoobaran anticline has rotated about 23 degrees anti-clockwise and this confirms the right-lateral strike slip motion of the Quchan-Zoobaran fault. Also, Studies fold, baxsed on the interlimb angle of fold (Fleuty 1964), most of the folds fall with in open and gentle categories with a few in the close category. baxsed on the dip of axial surface and plunge of hinge line, the studied folds are classified into upright-horizontal category. Fractures were investigated in 19 stations and finally the association of these fractures with the main structures of the area was determined. The highest fracture density in the region was determined by two general trends of NE-SW and NW-SE. In general, four fractures in the region can be distinguished, respectively, with fractures of category 1 with an average position of 81/258, fractures of category 2 with an average position of 69/138, fractures of category 3 with an average position of 74/173, and the fractures of category 4 are with an average position of 68/226. Tiers 1 and 3 were of a tensile type and 2 and 4 were of shear type. baxsed on the position of the joints, the longitudinal, transverse, and shear fractures are detectable in these 19 stations, relative to the axis of the folds. The average fractures of the fold axis at each anticline indicate that the anti-clockwise rotation of the fractures in the east Zoobaran anticline is approximately 23 degrees relative to the fractures in the west Zoobaran anticline. After the removal of the rotation, the fractures in the eastern Zoobaran show the same geometry with the fractures of the west Zoobaran anticline. Thus, the east Zoobaran anticline could be considered as the continuation of the west Zoobaran anticline and attributed the difference in the trend to the right-lateral movement of the Quchan-Zoobaran fault. Also, baxsed on the distribution of joints compared to the laxyering, most joints are divided into slabs and mills. In addition, the joints J1, J2, J3 and J4, which are generally in parallel, antithetic and synthetic to faults in the region, have been studied. Accordingly, the joint class J1 is in antithetic and synthetic, the joint class J3 is in parallel and antithetic and the joint class J4 is in synthetic and parallel to the Quchan-Zoobaran and Salanghuch faults, respectively. The joint class J2 is in antithetic with both faults.
