Abstarct: The study area is located in the southeast of shahrood (Khartooran) and in the northern margin of central Iran structural zone. In this area, two thick sequences of lower cretaceous and middle Eocene have been outcroped. Lower cretaceous volcanic rocks have basaltic to thracybasaltic composition, and those find in the from of thick laxyer of basaltic pillow lavas with intercalations of pyroclastic rocks and Orbitolina limestones. Field studies and paleontology of their associated Orbitolina limestones indicate that alkali basaltic lava erupted in the shallow warm marine environment. Basaltic rocks show intergranular, intersertal and amygdaloidal textures. Geochemical characteristics indicate that basaltic rocks have alkaline nature and they evolutioned by fractional crystallization prosses. With respect to their rare and rare earth elements patterns, are belong to oceanic island basalts. Lower cretaceous basalts plot in the oceanic island basalt (OIB) domain on the tectonic discrimination diagrams. Magma forming of these rocks produced in 100-110 Km and from 8-12 % partial melting of garnet lherzolitic mantle, and then erupted in shallow marine basin of central Iran in the lower cretaceous. Andesitic and dacitic rocks are not belong to upper cretaceous but in opposite to that showed in 1:100000 geological map of Ahmadabad, They have middle- Upper Eocene age. Middle- Upper Eocene volcanic rocks have been outcropped such as alternations of rock units include of acidic lavas (mainly dacitic), pyroclastic rocks (crystal littic tuff, tuffaceous siltstone and …), and thin intercalation of Nummulitic limestones, siltstones and sandstones. Petrographical evidence of these rocks indicates continous changes and evolutioned in them: appare and disappear of some minerals and disequblirum textures (such as inclusion, crusion golf and zonation in plagioclase and clinopyroxen phenocrystes).Such as the other parts of central Iran copper mineralization observed with these andesitic and dacitic rocks. Geochemical features of these rocks indicate that they have calcalkaline nature. These characteristic confirm the role of fractional crystallization and with minor important assimilation and magma contamination in evolution of the magma forming these rocks. These rocks are rich in LREE and LILE and depleted of HREE. Negative anomaly of HFSE such as Ti, Nb and Ta in these andesitic and dacitic rocks are the main characteristic of arc magmatism environment. On the tectonic discrimmination diagram, magma forming these rocks are plot in the active continental margin magmatic arc domain. These rocks have high silica adakitic nature. baxse on geochemical characteristic the studied rocks resulted of melting of subducted Neothetian oceanic slab and overlay mextasomatized mantle wedge.
