QD375 : Natural amino acid: an efficient catalyst for multi-component synthesis of 3-substituted-4-arylmethylideneisoxazol-5(4H)-ones

Abstarct: ethylacetoacetate, hydroxylamine hydrochloride and aromatic aldehydes in the presence of methionine as an efficient environmentally benign catalyst. This multicomponent reaction was performed in the solvent-free conditions at room temperature. In the second part of this study, new hybrid compounds contain 1,2,3-triazole moiety, were prepared from the reaction of propargyloxy isoxazoles with aromatic azides by copper-catalyzed click reaction. The structures of all new compounds were established by spectroscopic data including, 1H -NMR, 13C-NMR and FT- IR spectra.
