Abstarct: The azo dye was synthesized by the reaction of diazotized aromatic amine (para-nitro aniline) with N-methyl aniline. The polymers, Chloromethylated Polystyrene and Poly(vinyl chloride(, after reacted with sodium azide, reacted with N-methyl-[4-(4-nitrophenylazo) phenyl] propargyl amine was prepared insitu by click reaction to synthesize new polymeric dye. The end products of named reaction were colored polystyrene and poly)vinyl chloride( that characterized by FT-IR, UV-VIS, 1H-NMR spectroscopy, as well as thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA/DTG).
