Abstarct: 1,2,3-triazoles are important nitrogen heterocyclic compounds mainly due to industrial applications and biological activity. The general procedure for the synthesis of the 1,2,3-triazoles is 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition by copper catalyze, alkyne, azide cycloaddition. In this research The novel PVC-suppprted-cu(I) asa catalyst was prepared by using reaction of pvc, sodium azide, propargyl alchole, copper iodide. The catalyst was characterized with different methods such as FT-IR, ICP and elemental analysis. This heterogenous catalyst used for the synthesis of 1,2,3-triazoles from multi-component reaction of alkyl halids, sodium azid and terminal alkynes in water. Simple reaction, high yield proaducte, mild conditions, easy worked-up and recyclability of the catalyst were the main advantages of this method.
