Abstarct: Polyhydroquinolines are important compounds which show a wide range of biological activities such as Ca2+ channel blockers, antitumour, antidiabetic antiatherosclerotic. Polyhydroquinolines were synthesized via a one-pot four component reaction in moderat to high yields. In this method a mixture of ammonium acetate٫ aldehyde and ethyl acetoacetate and dimedon or syclohexa1,3-dion in the presence of boehmite under solvent-free condition at 80°C were reacted to give the corresponding Polyhydroquinolines. The boehmite is non-toxic, inexpensive and, Spectroscopic data of the products are included in appendix.
