QD102 : Synthesis of novel heterocyclic system Tetrazolo¬[1,2,4]¬triazolo quinoxaline

Abstarct: The quinoxalines are present in many pharmaceutical agents which exhibit a broad spectrum of biological activities such as antiviral, antibacterial, and anticancer properties. They are also used in the agricultural field as fungicides, herbicides, and insecticides. In this work, one pot synthesis of new derivatives of tetrazolo [1,5-a] [1,2,4]¬triazolo [3,4-c] quinoxaline are reported using three different categories of starting material. 1- Reactions of 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline with hydrazine and various aromatic aldehydes, followed by addition of bromine and sodium azide in water. 2- Reactions of 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline with hydrazine, various aromatic acid chlorides, followed by addition of bromine and sodium azide in dioxane. 3- Reactions of 2,3-dichloroquinoxaline with hydrazine and trimethyl ortho formate, followed by addition of sodium azide in ethanol. The structures of the products were established using various spectroscopic methods. In conclusion, our described methods for the synthesis of tetrazolo[1,5-a] [1,2,4] triazolo [3,4-c] quinoxaline are easy and one-pot procedure which lead to high yields of products.
