Abstarct: In this research, we investigate spin-dependent electronic transmission through a quantum well wire by considering the scattering of spin polarized electrons by an embedded magnetic impurity. The calculations are baxsed on the Lippmann-Schwinger equation approach. The results show drastic differences between two possibilities of transmission through the wire; via scattering of electrons with and without spin-flip. Also it is shown that in each subsequent subband threshold, the electronic transmission coefficient for the case of transferring without spin-flip drops rapidly, while with spin-flip exhibits a nearly ballistic behavior. Also the conductance of the wire and the dependence of the transport on the transversal position of the magnetic impurity on the electron transmission are determined. The way in which the transmission depends on the position of the impurity in the wire, is demonstrated.
