Abstarct: In this thesis we consider a rotating quark along a circle of radius l with constant velocity through the strongly coupled plasma and vacuum that we use AdS/CFT correspondence for calculations. From the AdS/CFT, the dual picture of a rotating quark is a rotating string in the bulk. We begin with an overview of the resources in motion of rotating quark question. Then by solving equations of motion for rotating quark we discuse about energy loss. Calculations shows that there are two mechanisms of energy loss for a rotating quark in strongly coupled plasma; radiation and drag force. Also we found out in the relativistic space-time, for small ω, the energy loss is due to drag force but for enough large ω the energy loss is due to radiation. But in relativistic vacuum, because of radiation the energy is lost. Then as a new problem we study the effect of non-relativistic space-time in energy loss. In isotropic plasma, for a large ω, the energy loss is due to radiation. Also we found out by turn on non-relativistic parameter, if we increase the radius of rotating quark, because of drag force most part of the energy is lost, So we can approximate the behavior of rotating quark in a boundry with a quark that is moving in a straight line.
