Abstarct: First, we study applications of Lie groups to differential equations. Then, ‎we analyze Maxwell's equations and formulate them in non-linear optics, and using symmetry groups, we obtain the similarity solutions of the equations. We show that the system could be reduced to a single ordinary differential equation. ‎We also obtain the Hamiltonian system by constructing a Lie-Poisson structure for the system‎.
