Abstarct: Thermal non-equilibrium natural convection boundary laxyer which is induced by a 2D vertical heated plate embedded in a homogenous porous medium is investigated in this paper. The plate is assumed to have linear temperature and concentration distributions. The effect of suction or injection on the boundary laxyer is also studied, as is the effect of having a second diffusing species. A similarity solution is obtained for the governing steady laminar boundary laxyer equations. The Nusselt numbers for both the solid and fluid phases and the Sherwood number for solutal diffusion are calculated for a wide range of parameters. A correlation for fluid and solid Nusselt numbers is presented in this paper which is suitable for large values of suction/injection parameter. The asymptotic curves of Nusselt numbers are also compared with the obtained numerical results.
