Abstarct: Throughout history, shelter and housing have always been one of the most important human needs . this has made it important to address the issue of housing. With arrival of modernity and the industrial revolution, which has brought rapid population growth and the spread of modern technology, mankind faced new challenges.In the field of housing, flexibility and sustainability in design are the issues that have emerged as a response to the change of the modern world. "Designing Yazd Residential Complex" is a topic that has been chosen to address the issues raised (flexibility and sustainability).However, the specific climate conditions of the site plan have also made it compulsory to address the principles of climate _responsive design in line with other issues.In this regard, by studying the achievements of researcher and architects in the field of flexible housing, analyzing descxriptive-analytic case studies, we have found the accurate modern techniques to increase the flexibility of housing.Then we study the context of the design and climatic conditions of the area through field and library methods to answer the issues raised by providing a proper design.
