HA99 : Evaluation of Customer Satisfaction Leveraging Utility Theory Approach (Case Study of Samsung Cellphones)

Abstarct: In today's world measuring customer satisfaction has grown in importance. As customer satisfaction is a feeling, it must be quantified to be measurable and, therefore, becomes a tool for the firms to sustain profitability. This is only attainable by identifying the factors influencing it. In this study, we considered 5 brands of cell phones and 10 parameters to measure customer satisfaction. After determining the weight of each measure, using Shanon's Entropy Method, we calculated the utility function of each alternatives using the Triangular Fuzzy Numbers and Linguistic terms. In the final step, the utility of each alternative was calculated baxsed on the experts' view. And the choice B, with the utility value of 0.455, was the most satisfactory alternative. And the other choices are as follows:
