HA325 : The effect of self-sacrificing leadership on cultural synergy considering the mediating role of social capital, motivational capital and the tendency to distance power

Abstarct: In this day and age, due to the prominent role that leaders hold in shaping employees' behaviour to achieve the organization goals, the consolidation of the abilities and skills that aid leaders in actualizing this need deem imperative. The present study aimed to investigate the effect of self-sacrificing leadership on cultural synergy by considering the mediating role of social capital, motivational capital and the moderating role of power distance. This study is applied research with a descxriptive correlational design. The statistical population is Semnan Science and Technology Park staff, from which 324 people were selected as a sample baxsed on the Morgan table. The data is collected by a questionnaire, and Cronbach's alpha is applied to measure the reliability. The data are analyzed using structural equation modelling with Amos software. The results of data analysis demonstrate that self-sacrificing leadership has a significant effect on cultural synergy, and social and motivational capital have a mediating role, and power distance also performs as a moderator.
