Abstarct: This study aims to prioritize renewable energy sources by different climatic zones with emphasis on regional conditions. In this case study, the performance of 5 sources of wind energy, solar energy, hydropower, biomass energy and geothermal energy baxsed on 23 criteria in 3 desert, temperate and mountainous regions has been investigated. CRITIC method was used to weight the criteria and ARAS and WASPAS methods were used to prioritize renewable energy sources. Finally, the results of the calculations of these two methods were compared to ensure the accuracy of the results. According to the results of these two methods, in the desert region, solar energy is the best source of renewable energy and in mountainous areas, wind energy is the best source of energy and in temperate regions, solar energy is the best source of renewable energy.
