Abstarct: Milk has always been an important factor in human's health and nutrition. Thus, governments generally try to execute policies to support production and consumers access especially vulnerable groups like children. In this research, Iran supportive policies for producing milk during 2001-2016 have been investigated by time series data, mainly by producer support evaluation (PSE). We try to evaluate support of producers by PSE to investigate the relationship between policies supporting milk production as independent variable and the amount of milk production as the dependent variable. We calculated PSE index by data from reliable statistical centers and Excel software and also did autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) by Eviews software 10. Results show that governments' funds to milk producers had been positive. Moreover, policies such as subside to milk processing industry, livestock insurance subside, livestock serum and vaccine subside and facilities subside to poultry and livestock have been significant and positive in milk production among other policies. There are some hypotheses baxsed on the obtained relationship between dependent variable and independent variables. H1 is approved which indicates a positive effect of subside to milk processing industry on milk production. H2 is approved which indicates a positive effect of livestock insurance subsides on milk production. H3 indicates a positive effect of livestock serum and vaccine has been confirmed with lag. H4 which indicates a positive effect of energy subsides on milk production has not been confirmed. And finally H5 indicates a positive effect of facilities subsides to poultry and livestock on milk production is confirmed with lag.
