Abstarct: Resistance training plays an important role in changes of body composition and lipid profile in postmenopausal women and Considering the role of these changes may increase temperament. The purpose of this study was to check the effect of temperament on changes of body composition and lipid profile after 8 weeks of resistance training in postmenopausal women. After calling 18 postmenopausal women were purposefully selected and after recognizing the temperament, subjects were put equally (n = 9) into two groups with cold and wet temperament and cold and dry temperamet. The subjects practiced IRM for 8 weeks, 2 days a week with an intensity of 20-30%. Body Composition with Inbody and serum levels of blood lipids in fasting situation were evaluated before and after the training period. To assess temperament, participants completed the questionnaire temperament before the start of practice, under the supervision of an expert on traditional medicine. In order to analyze the data* the analysis of covariance and t-tests were used. The tests with p≤0/05 were considered significant. The results showed that after eight weeks of resistance training * a significant change in body composition and lipid profile levels (TG, TC, LDL, VLDL, HDL) wasn't observed.Among BMI body composition variables, body weight, fat mass after 2 months of resistance training in both groups had a significant reduction compared to the previous practice in addition to the items listed in cold and wet group, fat percentage was statistically significant when the comparison is done within the group. It seems, the increase of body composition and blood lipid caused by a cold temperament in menopausal age and higher ones can Considerably improve by increasing the temperature and heat as a result of a healthy diet, physical activity and exercise. However, due to lack of records or literature in this field, further research with a larger sample is required to have better and more accurate conclusions.
