Abstarct: Background and objective: In the current research, the effect of 3 month of combined training and 2 month of detraining on apelin levels in type 2 diabetic woman was investigated. Methods: In this experimental study: 30 overweight woman were purposefully selected and randomly divided into experimental (n=15) and control (n=15) groups. Experimental group trained in a 12 week. Training program ( 3 sessions per week) according to the combined aerobic program( 50 to 75 percent of the maximum reserve heart rate (HRR)) and then resistance training ( 50 to 75 percent of one maximum repetition and then experienced 3 weeks of detraining. Blood sampling was perform after a 12 hear fasting in various and the level of apelin , insulin ,fasting blood sugar, insulin resistance ,percent body fat was measured. Data were analyzed kolomogorov -Smirnov repeated measure ANOVA at a significance level of p>0.05. Result: combined exercise caused a significant decrease in serum apelin levels in the exercise group compared to controls at the end of the detraining period. While the level of aplin increased immediately after the training period compared to the control group, but was not significant. Also the level of fasting blood sugar in the training group compare to the control had a significant decrease at the end of the training period and lack of training compared to the control group. Insulin levels also like fasting blood sugar were significantly reduced in the exercise group compared to the control group. Fat perecentag and body weight were also significantly reduced. In the exercise group compared to the control group at the end of the training and detraining period. Conclusion: According to the result of this study, the serum level af aplin in the training group was higher than the control at the end of the training period, but decreased at the end of the detraining periods .There is evidenee that aplin is a beneficial adipomyocin with anti_obesity and anti_diabetic properties that plays a role in regulating fasting blood sugar and glucose homeostasis by increasing glucose uptake into adipose tissue and skeletal muscle.
