GV212 : The role of perceived social support and spiritual capital in the psychological resilience of martial artists

Abstarct: The aim of this study was to investigate the role of perceived social support and spiritual capital on the psychological resilience of martial artists. The method of this research is considered as applied research in terms of purpose and as descxriptive research in terms of data collection method and is considered as non-experimental and correlational designs. The statistical population of the study was the athletes of martial arts clubs in Kermanshah, from which the sample was selected by cluster random sampling. G-Power sample size software was used to estimate the sample size. Taking into account the error percentage of 0.05, test power of 0.80 and the effect size of 0.15, 160 samples were determined as the sample size for this research and in order to increase the validity of the research and the possibility of deleting some samples, the sample size 180 people were considered. Data were collected using the Perceived Social Support Questionnaire of Zimet et al. (1988), Golparvar et al. (2015) and Conor davidson (2003) Resilience Questionnaire and analyzed using Pearson correlation and regression tests. Was analyzed. The results showed that there is a significant relationship between perceived social support and psychological resilience of martial artists. There is a significant relationship between spiritual capital and psychological resilience of martial artists. The results also showed that perceived social support and spiritual capital can predict the psychological resilience of athletes and perceived social support and spiritual capital can have a positive effect on the psychological resilience of Kermanshah martial artists. Therefore, it can be said that social support is perceived and spiritual capital improves the psychological resilience of athletes.
