Abstarct: Adolescents need to be properly nourished due to mobility and sports activities. Meanwhile, adolescents 'anorexia and their tendency towards poor nutrition and fast foods is one of the challenges and problems of adolescents' health system. Recent studies have examined the relationship between milk consumption and other dairy products with adolescent health. Considering the importance of weight control program and the importance of milk as an effective drink at the time of returning to the original state and its effect on appetite suppression; The aim of this study was to investigate the effect of milk consumption after moderate intensity aerobic exercise on appetite and energy intake of adolescent male athletes. Thirty adolescent male athletes with a mean age of 16.13 ±1.75 years and a body mass index of 21.48 ± 2.75 kg / m2 participated voluntarily in this study. The subjects ran continuously for 30 minutes at a rate of 65% of their stored heart rate in two separate sessions one week apart and two hours after breakfast. In one test, the effect of exercise alone and in another test, the effect of exercise and consumption of 600 ml of low-fat milk on appetite and energy intake were tested. Subjects' energy intake was assessed 60 minutes after exercise alone or with milk consumption. The subjects' sense of appetite (hunger, fullness, satiety, desire-to-eat) was also tested with the visual analog scale of appetite. The results showed that milk consumption after exercise had a significant effect on appetite components (P <0.05); It reduces the feeling of hunger, satiety, fullness and desire to eat. It was also found that milk consumption after exercise has a significant effect on absolute and relative energy intake (P <0.05) and reduces these two components. As a result, it can be said that milk can be a useful tool to control appetite after exercise and part of the weight control strategy in adolescent male athletes.
